Changing Seasons

It's your life, whatcha gonna do
The world is watching you
Every day the choices you make...
Say what you are and who...
Your heart beats for
It’s an open door
It’s your life

Album: My Paper Heart

And everything that’s new has bravely surfaced
Teaching us to breathe
What was frozen through is newly purposed
Turning all things green
So it is with You
And how You make me new
With every season’s change
And so it will be
As You are re-creating me
Summer, autumn, winter, spring

The above two songs come to me as I write this post. Saturday… was my high-school graduation (pics coming soon). So many thoughts came to me as I mounted the stage to stand with my parents… it was an emotional moment, struggle if you will. Tears came to my eyes. I am not leaving my child-hood… but maybe I’m being too dramatic when I feel like it is leaving me (note that I said feel like. Not that it is.)  I’m not going away anytime soon… but my little sister is going to be seven in a couple of weeks! Does it ever feel like yesterday I was just entering high-school!!!  And now it’s practically over.

As I've been 'growing up', I'm beginning to see complications, hitches, and difficulties that I never in my life imagined would pop up for me.

Sometimes I just wanna go back or make the day just stay how it is.. but then I think- where would Grace-Hope be? And I would never get to be married and have the joys of becoming a mommy; raising kidlets… oh, all those things that I look forward to.

As my “Shakespeare Buddy” Kaeleen says so well, “God is so much bigger than our sufferings; His love extends far beyond our loneliest moments. He is our good, loving, protective, sovereign heavenly Daddy. And His will is always best.”  Always. I find so much comfor in the thought. “He's gotten me this far, I know He'll never fail, He'll get me to the other side. I will cross this valley.” This season.
"Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of G-d in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, G-d will reveal even this to you."  ~ Philippians 3:13-15
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.
