Winter to Spring Fashion: JORD Watches

In my opinion, wood has been one of the most underestimated fashion statements, but is so perfectly suited (not to mention practical) to all seasons, weathers, and outfits. Here in the desert, winter transitioning into spring in the next month is far more likely than us ever getting a snowstorm. In fact, this particular December day was a rather warm one of its own accord. Having no business on this Saturday but a million and one errands to run, I slipped into something casually comfortable, and threw on one of my favorite accessories: a watch.
Women buying watches have been a trend in the more recent fashion months, and I have to say, I am absolutely loving the trend. If I'm wearing a watch of any kind, it automatically does things for my mentality, but also for the mentality of those around me. I'm a tall brunette woman who walks fast, mostly knows what she wants, but has a bubbly personality and nearly too-sweet voice (my sister tells me). But because I run my own business, work with other local businesses, and interview people frequently, a watch has become a great asset and connector in the business world. I've collected a number of them over the years; leather ones, rose gold ones, but none quite so comfortably fashionable as this Frankie Zebrawood and Champagne watch from JORD.
JORD is a Swedish word that means earth, soil, or land, so highlighting the natural elements involved is a strong priority. Handcrafted right here in the U.S.A., they are a completely "green" company, with wood watches made from natural woods — Maple, Ebony, Zebrawood, just to name a few - and the glass in this watch is a scratch-proof Sapphire Crystal glass. My particular piece is made from Zebrawood, and is one of the best conversation pieces I've ever come across: the doctor, my local barista, even a photographer or two has commented on the uniqueness of it: and I'm convinced that this proves the interest of a statement piece that doesn't go out of style.
As such an effortless, elegant statement piece, JORD is beautiful, functional, and incredibly well-sustaining of any situation this adventurous person finds myself in.
