Jesus is Calling...

Reading Revelation on a golden morning always gives me a purely joyful outlook... it hasn't always. But several years ago, I came to the realization that of course I shouldn't be afraid of the future happenings in there for two very important reasons:

#1: Perfect love casts out fear- if I truly am in love with Jesus, then why should I fear what will take me face to face with Him?

#2: All the events that take place in Revelations are only an exciting pathway showing us just how close we are to experiencing G-d's holiness for ourselves! I mean, how wonderful is that?

I like to write a lot in the margins of my Bible; and while I know some may look down on this, I find it is the perfect place to store what G-d is teaching me. Today, for instance, in Revelation 21, I read-

"And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”

And when I looked in my (literally black=P) margin, I saw what my precious Savior had given me. Last summer, my family was going through a rather hard time. Last night I'd gone to bed with a slightly heavy heart, for no clear reason; and I was only able to go to sweet sleep when I surrendered myself up to Him (for He giveth His beloved sleep...). Somehow or other during the day, I had taken back a problem that had come up from Him by worrying about it.

This morning, in rememberence of last night, what on earth hould I see but that same note, that same lesson as that which G-d had given me so many months ago... and caused my eye to rest upon this morning:

"He stores all our tears in a bottle {in my margin}. There'll be no suffering, crying or pain in the heavenly city; so- will we be crying with the sheer joy of seeing Him, and being in His holy presence? I think so..."

Oh, is our Abba not so good to us?

A few months ago, my TBC group discussed a question while in the midst of Crazy Love (a must-read): what do you think your first response will be when you first do see our Jesus in His full glory and majesty? I'd say simply awe... tears... actually, it's truly hard to imagine, even- will I dance for You, Jesus, or in awe of You be still? Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing, "Hallelujah"? Will I be able to speak at all?

Two days ago, I was reading Charle's Spurgeon's Morning and Evening. His August 23rd Morning has Isaiah 65:19 listed:
“I will also rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people;
and there will no longer be heard in her
the voice of weeping and the sound of crying."

Spurgeon's (what I like to call) mini-sermon on this was so good, that here's some of it to share with y'all:

" The glorified weep no more, for all outward causes of grief are gone... They weep no more, for they are perfectly sanctified... They are without fault before His throne and are fully conformed to His image... They weep no more, because all fear of change is past. They know that they are eternally secure... They are forever with the Lord. They weep no more, because every desire is fulfilled. Imperfect as our present ideas are of the things which God has prepared for them that love Him, yet we know enough by the revelation of the Spirit to know the saints above are supremely blessed. The joy of Christ, which is an infinite fullness of delight, is in them. That same joyful rest remains for us. Before long the weeping willow will be exchanged for the palm branch of victory, and sorrow's dewdrops will be transformed into the pearls of everlasting bliss."

"Everlasting bliss." The mere things that I go through and list as "trials" are nothing, nothing compared to what Christ went through for us; and how easy it is to forget that they are only to refine us! All we must choose to do is wait on Him, our Abba, with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Let us seek for Jesus as if we were searching for jewels... truly. You'll find Him with all your heart and all your soul...

To show me this... This is Truly the Kindness of Our G-d...
